Our school Resource Centre (Library) houses a large range of resources. There is plenty of space and comfortable furniture for the students to come and enjoy books, games, puzzles, iPads, interactive whiteboard activities and to socialise.
Our students are able to borrow resources from our collection. Generally students may borrow one book a week and must have a library bag to transport books. Year Two and Three students may borrow home readers and a book from the general collection at the same time. Classes have timetabled borrowing times and students are able to borrow before school and during lunch breaks.
Students in Years 4 to 6 and some Year 3 students access the Accelerated Reader collection which includes popular fiction titles leveled and coded to help students select ‘good fit’ books that will suit their individual reading level and interests. Accelerated Reader titles also have an on-line quiz which students complete after reading the book to check their comprehension. Students can also access lists of suggested titles that may suit their reading level through the Accelerated Reader site.
Students celebrate Book Week each year with a Book Character Parade. The School also invites students to a performance of a touring show based on the books awarded prizes by the National Book Council of Australia for the year.

Prep students join in the National Simultaneous Story Time, providing a fun way to link with thousands of children all around Australia to enjoy reading.
