Our school leadership team includes a Principal and Deputy Principal who are supported by the Head of Special Education Services (HOSES), Business Services Manager (BSM), Behaviour Advisory Teacher (BAT), Support Teacher: Literacy and Numeracy (ST:LaN), Curriculum Co-ordinator and Teacher Librarian. The Principal, Deputy and Curriculum Co-ordinator form the Curriculum Leadership Team, taking responsibility for the curriculum from Prep to Year 6.
A music specialist, physical education specialist, instrumental music specialists in strings and brass/woodwind and a language specialist (Japanese) work with our classroom teachers to ensure students from Prep to Year 6 have rich curriculum programs in all key learning areas.
All teachers at our school have personal Developing Performance Plans and are supported by senior teachers and members of our leadership team who have taken on a coaching roles.
Much of our professional development is driven from the pedagogial framework developed from the Art & Science of Teaching (Dr Robert Marzano). Our team is committed to being a high performance school.
Professional development to support teachers in Key Learning Areas is ongoing. Current focus in literacy is around the Daily 5 and Reading CAFÉ (Gail Boushey & Joan Moser).
